Home Envy: Modern English Farmhouse
I never thought I’d end up one of those people who appreciates a lack of color. When I was younger I was drawn to the most colorful things, be it things to decorate my room, clothes I wore, and accessories of all kind. Now, a muted color palette is what appeals to me the most, like the one in this modern English farmhouse design by Grand Tradition Homes.
The exterior makes black and white work together in a subtle way, rather than being drastic like black and white can most often be. The interiors are so light and airy, with white walls and a light wood flooring. The paint on the kitchen cabinets is a beautiful gray-sage green shade that just blends so well with the marble and gold accents. The wooden beams on the ceiling in the living room and kitchen are so grand but kind of disappear at the same time; they strike the perfect balance with the rest of the space. I just love everything about this home, from the natural light to the whimsical yet classic decor.
I love to follow anything and everything home decor, so send me any blogs you’re reading or designers you’re following! Would love to start featuring specific interior designers I admire down the road, perhaps involving interviews and quotes I get directly from them, rather than their websites.
