Beachy Vibes

I'm a little sunburnt, but mostly a nice shade of tan, after a fun and relaxing trip to the Bahamas last week. Each day was spent doing basically the same things: morning Starbucks, sitting by the beach, basketball games (go Deacs), and a nice dinner to end the evening. Though the Atlantis resort can be a bit much, it was still a great place to unwind and get some last-minute sun and sand before heading back to school. I made sure to pack my most summery outfits to get one last chance to wear them in this tropical paradise before starting to think about my fall wardrobe. This outfit was a total steal. I went to one of my favorite Charlotte boutiques, KK Bloom, and got the dress on sale and the necklace for free, because they were having a BOGO sale on all sale items. Their sale might be over, but definitely check out the stuff they still have, because they're always getting great new clothes and accessories in!

The dress:  Woratah Drop Hem Dress by Minkpink. It may be white, which usually scares me away due to fear of being see-thru, but this one isn't at all. It also has a great shape for being a shift dress. Shift dresses don't always fit me very nicely but this one is perfectly designed to seem more fitted than it is, while also being comfy and flowy enough for a girls' night out or a dinner by the beach.

The necklace:  Harper Tassel Necklace . I picked this necklace because of the gorgeous pastel pink color, also noticing that I would get it for free because I had already picked the dress on sale. It wasn't until I brought both items to checkout and lay them next to one another that I noticed how perfectly they went together.

The shoes: Dolce Vita wedges . Obviously I wasn't wearing shoes when this photo was taken, but sitting just a few steps away (to avoid getting all sandy) were my favorite pair of wedges that I threw back on so we could go to a nice dinner overlooking the beautiful sunset after. I don't wear wedges often, because they tend to make me 6'3", but I love these because they're not super tall and they're SO easy to walk in. Dolce Vita makes the best sandals and wedges for summer, and they come in gorgeous neutrals that go with absolutely anything.
