Restaurant Review: Mirador de Morayma

This post starts a series of reviews of restaurants I'll be eating at while abroad! Had to start with the most amazing little spot on a hillside in Granada called Mirador de Morayma. This was the Duke sponsored welcome meal so the entire group was here. Before our meal we walked all the way up to an overlook of the Alhambra and the whole city of Granada. Then we walked a little ways back down to the restaurant, which had the most serene garden terrace overlooking the Alhambra where our group was seated. The lighting was incredibly romantic and the tables were set beautifully. As our meal began, we had our choice between red and white wine and delicious bread (no Spanish meal is complete without these). Afterwards, they brought out a series of appetizers including the Morayma salad, asparagus, fried eggplant, and an interesting cheese dish. I ordered the sea bass for my entree, which was very delicious with onion, olives, and goat cheese sprinkled on top, garnished with one single grape. It was the first nice meal out that I've had since being here and I definitely enjoyed every minute! Anyone looking for a romantic spot in Granada, this is your place!
