Puntas de Vista
One day down here in Madrid! Thought I'd share some of the views I've seen throughout the city on my first day. We traveled by motorbike to Carmen's boyfriend's apartment with stunning views of the surrounding area. She told me it was an area that is overwhelmingly populated by Latin and South Americans. She said it felt like being in a different country to her, even though it was only a 10-minute ride from her neighborhood. Carmen's apartment has slightly less impressive views, but the neighborhood couldn't be nicer, with quiet little side streets connecting countless plazas where people constantly sit to enjoy a drink or some tapas. Small bakeries, cafes, stores, and more line these picturesque streets, and the cafe located right below my apartment has lovely bike with hydrangeas decorating the entrance. We are a short walk from all the great spots: la Plaza Mayor, la Plaza del Sol, el Mercado de San Miguel, and more.
